Mera Ration App has been launched by the Ministry of Food and Public Distribution. It is a part of the One Nation-One Ration Card scheme launched by the Government of India. Through this app, the beneficiaries of the National Food Security Act will be able to check as to how much grain they will get. In addition to this facility, the beneficiaries will also get complete information about the location of the nearby Fair Price Shops and all the facilities available on the ration card. The consumer can download this app from the Google Play store.
District Food and Supply Controller Jind, while giving detailed information about this scheme, said that this app has been launched through the Ministry of Food and Public Distribution, Government of India. If the ration card holders change their place of residence and move to a new place, they can still see on their mobile where the nearest ration depot or Fair Price Shop is. This app has been designed for the convenience of migrants.
He said that this app will bring transparency. Under the One Nation-One Ration Card scheme, ration cardholders can get their share of ration from any ration shop in the country. For this, it is necessary to have an Android phone with a ration cardholder.
The District Food and Supplies Controller said that after downloading my Ration App, one need to register in the app. He said, “The eligible beneficiaries can also buy ration from their Aadhaar card if they do not have a ration card.”
The public of the district said that this scheme will benefit the people. Saroj, one of the ration card holder said, “This will be highly useful to those who move from one place to another. The app will provide all the details about the eligibility, nearest ration shop, etc.”
