19th Pandit Mohan Lal Memorial Basketball Tournament and 10th Pandit Mohan Lal Memorial Boxing Championship

The Closing Ceremony and Prize Distribution function of 19th Pandit Mohan Lal Memorial Basketball Tournament and 10th Pandit Mohan Lal Memorial Boxing Championship was held at PML S. D. Public School, Sector-32, Chandigarh.  Mr. R. J. Khanderao, Regional Officer,  CBSE, Panchkula was the chief guest on this occasion. This mega event was inaugurated by Mr. K. K Sharma, PCS (Retd.), Chairman-cum-Manger of the school on 30th Aug, 2018. The Basketball Championship (Boys & Girls) was won by PML S D Public Sector-32C, Chandigarh and Guru Nanak Public School, Sector 36, Chd. respectively. The Over All Boxing Championship was bagged by PML S D Public School, Sector 32C, Chd. and the Runners up trophy was bagged by St. Joseph Sr, Sec. School, Sector 44, Chd. A total amount of Rs.1,80,000/- was awarded to the winners in Basketball and Boxing Tournament this year. A colourful cultural program was also presented on this occasion which enthralled the audience. In the morning too, Hawan was performed to pay tribute to revered Pandit Mohan Lal Ji, the founder of the institution.

Girl category:

First position got Guru Nanak Public School, Sector 36, Chd. Beat Carmel Convent School, Sector 9, Chd. with the margin of 45-12.

 

Second position got Carmel Convent School, Sector 9, Chd.

 

Third position got New Public School, Sector-18, Chd. Beat Vivek High School, Sector 38, Chd. By the margin for 26-11.

 

The best scorer was Punam (12 Points) and Ritika (12 Points) from New Public School, Sector 18, Chd.

 

 

Boys category:

 

First position got PML S D Public Sector-32C, Chandigarh Beat SGGS Khalsa, Sector-26, Chd. by the margin of 67-51. The best scorer was Sehaj (26 Points), Jaskaran (20 Points), Nitin (10 points) and   from PML S D Public Sector-32C, Chandigarh.

 

Second position got SGGS Khalsa School, Sector 26, Chd.

 

Third position got New Public School, Sector-18, Chd. Beat Sri Guru Harkrisham Model School, Sector-38, Chd. by the margin of 32-26. The best scorer was Lakshay (08 Points) and Parveen (06 Points), Kanwar (06 Points)  from New Public School, Sector-18, Chd.
