New Delhi, 26th March 2025: Jitendra Pal Malhotra, the Chandigarh BJP President, met with Home Minister Amit Shah today. The meeting focused on various issues, including reforms in education and health services, making the municipal corporation and other government departments paperless, administrative reforms, transparency, and drug prevention.
Special Focus on Education and Health Reforms
During the meeting, education and health service reforms were given top priority. Jitendra Pal Malhotra mentioned that efforts are underway to promote digital education, modernize teacher training, and implement innovative programs for students in Chandigarh.
To improve health services, the discussion also focused on upgrading hospitals and health centers. Home Minister Amit Shah assured full cooperation from the central government.
Plan to Make Municipal Corporation and Other Departments Paperless
The meeting also reached an agreement to make the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation and other government departments fully paperless. By adopting digital processes, administrative work will become simpler, more transparent, and efficiently operated. Additionally, new plans to enhance citizen services and improve government work efficiency were also discussed.
Agreement on Strict Action Against Drug Abuse
A serious discussion took place regarding the increasing drug problem in Chandigarh. The BJP state president urged the Home Minister to take strict action to eradicate this issue. It was decided that there would be increased monitoring of illegal drug trade, and special campaigns will be launched to raise awareness among the youth.
