Chandigarh: Residents of Mata Gujri Hall- Girls Hostel -1, Panjab University, Chandigarh
Celebrated Teej Festival with full zeal and enthusiasm.
Prof Neena Kaplash, DSW (W), Panjab University presided over the Teej function. The
lighting of lamp was done by Prof. Neena Kapalash, Prof. E. Mannual Nahar, Dr.
Kuljeet Kaur, Dr. Kavita Taneja, Dr. Veenu Mor . Wardens Dr Namita Gupta,
Dr Kawalpreet kaur and Dr Ravneet Kaur also graced the occasion.
Teej Committee comprising of Ms. Akshi, Preety, Jasleen, Agampreet, Navjot, Haramrit
and Mandeep made all arrangements for Teej function.
Residents took part in Mehandi and Rangoli competitions. Dr. Kuljeet Kaur, Dr. Kavita
Tanjea and Dr. Veenu Mor were the judges for the same. Ms. Sarabjeet and
Mandeep declared first and second winner in Mehandi competition whereas Ms. Priya &
Akshita were declared first in Rangoli competition. The residents presented various
folk dances like Ghoomer, Ladakhi, Punjabi Gidha etc.
All the winners were awarded with prizes. The function ended with vote of thanks by
Dr. Suman Mor, Warden GH-1.
