A significant meeting of the BJP Mahila Morcha was held today at the Kamlam office, Sector 33, Chandigarh. The meeting was graced by the special presence of National General Secretary of BJP Mahila Morcha, Deepti Rawat. On her arrival, she was warmly welcomed by the office bearers and workers of Chandigarh Mahila Morcha.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on strengthening the organization, ensuring greater participation of women, and expanding the reach of Mahila Morcha’s activities at the grassroots level.
Addressing the meeting, National General Secretary Deepti Rawat said that the Bharatiya Janata Party has always been committed to the dignity and safety of women. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, women have been empowered with opportunities in every sphere. She emphasized that Mahila Morcha workers are the strongest drivers of social change, and their role in the coming times will be even more decisive.
On this occasion, Deepti Rawat strongly condemned the attack on Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. She said that there is no place for violence in democracy. Political disagreements are a part of democratic traditions, but violent assaults and personal attacks are highly condemnable. She stated that the attack on a woman leader like Rekha Gupta is not just an attack on one individual but on the entire ideology of women empowerment. This incident reflects the fear of opposition parties towards the rising strength and leadership of women.
She demanded from the administration a fair investigation into the matter and strict action against the culprits to ensure that such incidents are not repeated in the future. She also called upon Mahila Morcha workers to stay united and fight more strongly for the safety and dignity of women in society.
Chandigarh Mahila Morcha President Heera Negi was also present at the meeting. She said that BJP Mahila Morcha Chandigarh stands firmly in support of Rekha Gupta and such attacks will never be tolerated under any circumstances. She added that this incident exposes the fear and intolerance of the opposition, but the Mahila Morcha will never step back in its mission.
The meeting was also attended by state office bearers, district presidents, and mandal presidents of the Mahila Morcha. All collectively resolved that BJP Mahila Morcha Chandigarh will continue to raise its strong voice against such attacks and ensure the protection and respect of women leaders at every level.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a unanimous resolution was passed condemning the attack on Rekha Gupta and demanding strict punishment for the guilty.
