Akshay Sharma meets BJP’s national leaders, seeks blessings from Harish Dwivedi
Discussion on the party organisation and the role of youth with the National In-charge of Yuva Morcha amid preparations for the upcoming elections
Amritsar – BJP leader Akshay Sharma from the Amritsar North Assembly constituency met senior party leaders and sought their blessings amid preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections. With the vision of building a developed Punjab by incorporating the aspirations of the youth, Akshay Sharma held a courtesy meeting with Harish Dwivedi, BJP National General Secretary and National In-charge of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha.
During the meeting, Akshay Sharma discussed various organisational and political matters with Harish Dwivedi. In September 2026, the BJP appointed Harish Dwivedi as the National In-charge of the Yuva Morcha. Earlier, in August, he was appointed as the party’s National General Secretary.
The meeting between Akshay Sharma and Harish Dwivedi comes at a time when political parties in Punjab are intensifying their organisational activities ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections. Discussions focused on connecting more young people with the party organisation, channelising the energy of youth in a positive direction, and issues related to Punjab’s development.
Akshay Sharma said that the guidance of senior BJP leaders serves as a source of inspiration for young party workers. He said that today’s youth not only want to participate in politics but also expect concrete action on key issues such as employment, education, drug de-addiction, sports and development. He emphasised the need to channelise the energy of young people constructively to take Punjab forward.
He said that the future of Punjab is closely linked to its youth and that the participation of the younger generation is essential to putting the state on a new path of development. Akshay Sharma added that he would continue working to raise the voice of young people at both the organisational and social levels while maintaining regular grassroots contact with the public.
The meeting also included discussions on strengthening the BJP organisation at the booth level and increasing the active participation of young party workers. Akshay Sharma said that meeting senior party leaders and receiving their guidance gives workers renewed energy and motivation.
Akshay Sharma said, “With the vision of the youth, the guidance of senior leaders and the strength of the organisation, we will continue working to take Punjab forward on the path of development.”
Both leaders also discussed organisational activities and the role of young people in the coming period. After seeking Harish Dwivedi’s blessings, Akshay Sharma said that the guidance of the senior leadership would continue to inspire him to strengthen his efforts towards public service and organisational work.
