Chandigarh: The Bharatiya Janata Party Chandigarh unit today organized an extensive discussion session on India’s historic 80th Union Budget at the BJP Chandigarh State Office “Kamalam”, Chandigarh. Following the live telecast of the budget presentation, all participants welcomed and appreciated the 80th budget of independent India. The program was efficiently conducted under the management of BJP Chandigarh Vice President Raj Kishore.
Addressing the gathering, BJP Chandigarh State President Jitender Pal Malhotra stated that the budget reflects the government’s clear commitment to balanced development, inclusive progress, and long-term national growth. He emphasized that the budget strongly focuses on infrastructure-led development, which will form the foundation of India’s economic strength in the coming years.
Jitender Pal Malhotra further highlighted that the Data Hubs and Digital Infrastructure Hubs proposed in the Union Budget will become the backbone of the future economy. These data hubs will accelerate growth in IT, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cyber security, and digital services. Cities like Chandigarh, with an educated workforce, strong administrative presence, and IT-friendly ecosystem, will benefit directly through increased investment and employment opportunities in the IT, startup, and service sectors, while indirect benefits will be seen across the Tricity region in real estate, logistics, professional services, and skill development. This initiative will help establish Chandigarh as a major digital and knowledge hub in North India.
BJP National Executive Member and National Co-Incharge for Himachal Pradesh Sanjay Tandon presented a detailed and simplified explanation of the budget. Drawing from his professional experience, he explained the budget provisions in an easy-to-understand manner, enabling people from all sections of society to grasp its benefits. He stated that the budget is beneficial for common citizens, industries, and the overall economy, and that every citizen should celebrate this budget. He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s infrastructure-focused vision is strengthening national unity and accelerating India’s development journey.


BJP Chandigarh Economic Cell Convener Naveen Kumar Soni shared his views on the economic framework and policy direction outlined in the budget. Leading industrial representatives from Chandigarh, Anurag Aggarwal and Umakant, also expressed their perspectives on the budget’s positive impact on trade, industry, and employment.
During the program, it was also informed that under the guidance of BJP National President Nitin Naveen, a nationwide awareness campaign will be launched to take the vision, objectives, and public welfare aspects of the 80th Union Budget to the masses.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion, where party workers and attendees expressed confidence that this budget will play a decisive role in building a Developed India through strong infrastructure, economic stability, and inclusive growth.
