Inauguration of Instant Mixed Solid Waste Management Machine
Today, a unique machine has been installed in the Sahaj Safai Kendra of Sector 49 of Ward No. 35 to dispose of the wet and dry waste in the city of Chandigarh and utilize it by making various types of products. This type of machine has been installed for the first time in Chandigarh, which will prove to be a milestone in the coming time for proper disposal of garbage and making the city clean. Tireless efforts are being made to make this type of public interest work successful. The local councilor Rajinder Sharma along with Municipal Corporation Mayor Anoop Gupta, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Anandita Mitra, Chief Engineer N.P. Sharma, XEN Anurag Bishnoi and his entire team deserve congratulations for this. Chandigarh Lok Sabha MP Kirron Kher said during the inauguration ceremony of this machine today. She said that if the positive results of this machine come, Chandigarh will be made a garbage free city and it will be placed first in the category of clean city in the country.
In the program V.K. Bali, Ravindra Pathania, Nominated Councilor Naresh Panchal, Ashwani Prashar, Indira Bhartiya, Rajinder Joshi, Sameer Chaku, Amit Sood, N. Of. Shahi, Ashwani Sharma, Anish Kakirala and many dignitaries of the city participated in it. On this occasion, local councilor Rajinder Sharma welcomed all the visiting dignitaries and local residents and said that today that fortunate day has come by making efforts to find a permanent solution to the garbage disposal of 4 societies of the ward under non-compliance. That the machine installed in his ward is the first machine in the entire city which has been installed here, and he has also been relieved of the fine imposed by the corporation due to non-compliance. This is a matter of pride for all of us local residents as well as people of Chandigarh and to complete this public welfare work, our dear MP Kiran Kher without any delay provided an amount of Rs 50 lakh from the MP Fund, the result of which you can see. It is in front of everyone. For this, special gratitude was expressed to Madam Kirron Kher ji, as well as to our city Mayor Anup Gupta and Corporation Commissioner Anandita Mitra, with whose determination and cooperation today is going to become a historic day and you all will be able to witness this day. Explaining in detail about the project, he said that now the garbage in any form, wet or dry, will be fed into this machine and within about 40 to 50 minutes, about 100 kg of garbage will be converted into powder and Then it can be used as board, pellet fuel etc. This will not only boost the environment but will also provide relief to all the 4 societies from the problems they face every day regarding waste disposal.
On this occasion, Corporation Mayor Anup Gupta expressed his views and said that keeping the city clean and neat is the priority of the Municipal Corporation. Be it the dumping ground of Dadumajra or the health of the residents there, Chandigarh Municipal Corporation is working day and night on this and is bringing many types of new projects in the city so that all types of problems are solved. He said that the way local councilor Rajinder Sharma is working day and night for the people of his ward, it is the result that today this project has been implemented in Sector 49.
