Party will raise public voice on road, even in parliament, assembly: Selja
Chandigarh: 15, July
Haryana state congress president Kumari Selja has said that the government is wreaking havoc on the general public by continuously increasing the prices of oil, gas and essential commodities. Congress will raise voice of the common people on roads, even in the parliament and assembly also.
In protest against steep rise in oil and gas price , the party, led by Kumari Selja, today held demonstrations across the state and launched a signature campaign outside petrol pumps. A large number of oil consumers signed and expressed their anger against the government.
Addressing party workers in Sohna, Kumari Selja said that petrol price has crossed 100. People have no money in pocket, employment is over. State-owned oil companies earned 25 lakh crores profit from wild tax hikes during seven years of BJP rule but what did they spend for the common man? It is not profit but profiteering. It is very strange that the price of oil decreases in the international market but increases in India.
The RBI report states that the largest part of income of the common man is being spent on petrol, diesel and cooking gas. Not enough money left for children’s education, food etc. Ration subsidy is being abolished, mustard oil disappeared on ration depots.
She said that according to the CMI report, Haryana has reached number one in the country in unemployment. When Chief Minister is asked , he gives ridiculous answer that unemployment is only seven percent .
In Haryana crime is increasing rapidly.
Kumari Selja said, the government should give direct answer that how many youths were given employment, how many new industries were set up, how much investment was made? She said, reality is that state is witnessing large scale migration of industries and workers.
The Congress State President reiterated that public representatives are not coming out of their homes as they do not have answers to the questions of the people. Every day their programs are being cancelled due to public protests.
