This event is organized every year on 29th August to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of the Legendary Hockey Player Late. Shri. Major Dhyan Chand. The “RUN FOR FUN” (2 K.M) event was organized in the College Ground in which numerous students, teaching and non-teaching staff of the college participated. Principal Prof (Dr) Binu Dogra inaugurated the event by flagging off the ‘Run’. Prof. Dogra appreciated the relentless penchant of the college to take the moto of the college “Still Higher” to further higher. The Executive Engineer C.P Division-4, Chandigarh Engineering Department Shri Ankur Kumar Kansal was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
The programme ended with prizes giving ceremony. The Chief Guest, Principal , Dean and Vice Principal of the college gave away prizes to the winners and motivated the students and faculty members to be physically fit. The College made superb arrangements for maintaining the traffic along the 2KM route of the event. The main intention of the event was to showcase a competition with oneself to become fitter and healthier, a competition in which age holds no bar. The HOD Physical Education Mrs. Anju Trikha and other staff members of Physical Education Departments coordinated the event.
