Gender Champions Celebrate Pride Week at GGDSD College
The Gender Champions Club of Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College celebrated Pride Week on the campus in collaboration with Aashray NGO.
Various activities such as poster making, face painting, thought writing were undertaken to make students on the campus aware about the issues afflicting the LGBTQ community. Participants and other students were educated about the pressures, abuse and conflict faced by the members of this community and were provided information regarding some tools that can be used to promote gender equality in daily life.
Dr. Divya Jyoti Randev, club in-charge and club faculty members Ms Ritika Sinha, Dr. Agrim Verma and Mr. Varinder Kumar helped conduct the activity.
The Gender Champions Club is an Initiative by the Ministry of Women and Child Development and UGC, New Delhi that works to promote gender sensitivity on the campus.
