Chandigarh, 24th September 2021: In order to make the city polythene free, SDM South has conducted a raid in Sector-46 Apni Mandi today wherein he had caught two persons carring 50 kg Banned Polythene Bags namely Shalinder Rawat and Vikram Kumar residence of Mohali, Punjab with their vechiles bearing no. CH01 TA- 7641 (Loading Auto) and CH01 TB 7658 (Blero) resepectively selling to fruit and vegetable vendors . The accused were handed over to the team of MOH department with directions to do the challans and inquiry in order to cut the chain of polythene supply in the Southern Sub Division and also to ensure for strict enforcement.
