Punjab Engineering College (PEC) reconstitutes Board of Directors
Chandigarh.15th July,2021: The Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University) today reconstituted the Board of Governors with Chairman Trident Group Rajinder Gupta continuing in his post as Chairman of the board.
The reconstitution of the board has been approved by Sh.V.P.Singh Badnore, Administrator,U.T.,
Chandigarh today as per the notification issued by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Secondary & Higher Education, Government of India, New Delhi on 16.10.2003 in line with Clause 5(A) of the Bye-laws of PEC University of Technology Society registered vide Registration No.3586 of 2003.
The newly constituted Board of Governors include three prominent industrialists who are also PEC Alumni. They are Shri Praveer Sinha CEO and MD Tata power Company Limited, Sh Amit Syngle MD and CEO Asian Paints Limited and Sh Gurpratap Singh Boparai Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Limited.Other new inclusions are two Professors of the institute Prof. Siby John and Prof Uma Batra.
Similarly members of outgoing Board Sh. Kiran Malhotra and Prof. Arun Kumar Grover have also found place in new Board.
The Board of Governors constitution is for a period of 3 years with effect from the date of notification.
