Chandigarh: North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC), Patiala (Ministry of Culture, Government of India) in collaboration with Pracheen Kala Kendra organized a special literary program to pay homage to Janakavi, Jananeta, Bharat Ratana, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji at M.L. While presenting the commentary on the literary aspect of Jankavi Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee at the commencement of the program, Dr. Urmila Kaushik Sakhhi said, “The poet, Atalji was a politician, journalist and speaker, but the strongest part of his personality was that he was a poet. His poetry has many multifaceted portrayals of the impacts and phenomena of many dimensions, including his struggling life, changing circumstances, nationwide movements, prison-life. In his compositions, the nation-worship, the highest value of Indian culture, the deep love for the motherland, the anguish of the masses and the sensational expression of humanity mobilizes the human heart. He did not have any clue about making a comment. In addition to this, ‘Sakhi’ read the poems written by Atalji ‘Sawtantrata Diwas Ki Pukar’ and ‘Kadam Milakar Chalna Hoga’, which were highly appreciated.

After that poet Sunil Barwali recited Atalji’s poems ‘Rah Kau Si Jayun Mein’ and ‘Apne Hi Mann Se Kuchh Bolein’, Poet Krishan Kant recited poem ‘Unchhai’, and ‘Doodh Mein Darar Pad Gayi’, Director, NZCC, Prof. Saubhagya Vardhan narrated Atalji’s poem ‘Utho Dropadi Vastra Sambhalo Ab Gobind Na Aayenge’ and ‘Geet Naya Gata Hoon’ in in own style, which received a lot of applause. Poet Dipak Khetarpal recited Atalji’s poem ‘Pehchhan’ and the poet Virendra ‘Veer’ recited poem ‘Jung Na Hone Denge’, Poet Sushil ‘Hasrat’ Narlavi recited two poems of Atalji ‘Hindu Tan-Man Hindu Jeewan, Rag-Rag Hindu Mera Parichay’ and ‘Than Gayi Maut Se Than Gayi’.  Poetess Neha recited poems written on Atalji’s birthday, ‘Maud Par, Mujhe Dur Ka Dakhai Deta Hai’ and ‘Aayo Man Ki Ganthein Kholein’ and poet Tejbeer ‘Januan’ recited Atalji’s Poem ‘Aaj Sindhu Mein Jawar Utha Hai’ and Unki Yaad Karein’ in a very beautiful your style, which was appreciated by the audience.

In his presidential remarks, Dr. Sushil ‘Hasrat’, while expressing his exclamation, said poet Atalji’s poems giving a meaningful direction to the younger generation by shaking their contemplation. He was a true poet from heart.
