Training on She-Box Portal for Nodal Officers of all the Departments of U.T. Chandigarh

​​The Department of Social Welfare, Women & Child Development, Chandigarh Administration, in collaboration with the Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India, hosted a two-day training program focusing on the SHE-Box Portal and Mission Shakti Dashboard. This event took place at the Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration (MGSIPA), Sector 26, Chandigarh, on September 23rd and 24th, 2025.

​​The training was designed to enhance the capabilities of Nodal Officers from all departments within the Union Territory of Chandigarh, with the aim of improving the execution of initiatives related to women, in accordance with the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.

​​The sessions were facilitated by Ms. Priyanka and Ms. Iha Jain, Joint Director, Ministry of Women & Child Development, GOI who served as Resource Persons, with technical assistance provided by the NIC Team. They offered practical training on the utilization and oversight of both platforms.

​​During the event, She-Box Nodal Officers were also recognized for their significant contributions to raising awareness and supporting redressal systems for women employees and beneficiaries.

​​In her address to the participants, Ms. Anuradha S. Chagti, Secretary Social Welfare, Women & Child Development emphasized the importance of fortifying grievance redressal systems and empowering women through digital platforms. Dr. Palika Arora, PCS, Director Social Welfare Department, further mentioned that the SHE-Box Portal serves as a crucial instrument for addressing complaints of workplace sexual harassment, while the Mission Shakti Dashboard facilitates the effective monitoring of women empowerment initiatives.

​​The training program encompassed portal usage, data updating, reporting procedures, and methods for sensitizing staff within various departments. It concluded with an interactive session during which officers discussed their inquiries and committed to promoting the effective utilization of both platforms within their respective departments.
