The first day of the three day Surgical Skills Workshop being organized by the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (ENT) in collaboration with Department of Anatomy, PGIMER Chandigarh concluded today. The program for the day consisted of the Cadaveric Head and Neck Dissection Workshop in which the various surgical procedures related to head and neck surgeries including surgeries for various cancers of head and neck region were demonstrated by the surgeons from the Department of ENT, PGIMER Chandigarh.
Registered delegates from around the country were then provided the opportunity to dissect and learn the various procedures on the cadavers. The training schedule also included in depth discussion on the anatomy of the area by the faculty of the Department of Anatomy and also related procedures by the surgeons from the Departments of Plastic Surgery and Cardiothoracic surgery. Two delegates who were adjudged to have done the best dissection were felicitated at the end of the course.
