Seminar of unheard stories of revolutionary heroes of Punjab and special program painted in the color of patriotism “Mera Rang De Basanti Chola”
A seminar was organized here today under the joint aegis of Kumud Diwan Foundation, Delhi, Ministry of Culture of India and Pracheen Kala Kendra , in which many great historians from Punjab and Delhi, apart from the city, gave their important contributions and ideas to the audience. The facts were presented very beautifully. In this seminar, Mr. Jatinder Pal Malhotra, President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Chandigarh Unit 1 graced the occasion as the chief guest. Apart from this, eminent historians Shri Kapil Kumar, Shri Pradeep Sahni, Shri Rajiv Lochan, Shri Saqib Saleem, Shri Harish Puri and Shri Sitaram Bansal participated in the seminar. In this seminar, they presented their views with regard to the facts about the Gadar Movement and other movements of the untold unheard revolutionaries of Punjab. Through this seminar, the audience got an opportunity to know about the poignant history of Punjab. The audience was mesmerized by knowing many such ignorant fact of the history . In this seminar, the distinguished speakers presented their ideas and deep research before the audience, which was highly appreciated by the audience. This program was organized in the Dr. MS Randhawa auditorium of Punjab Kala Bhavan from 10:30 am, this program was organized under the ongoing azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav of government of India.
After this seminar a cultural program was organized from 5:30 in the evening. The programe was commenced with Ganesh Vandana with bols “Mangal Data, Buddhividhata Shubh Dayak Shree Ganesh” was presented by the students of Pracheen Kala Kendra. This invocatory piece was presented by the students of the Kendra very beautifully under the able direction of Dr. Shimpi Kashyap, faculty of Kendra .
After this Thumri and eminent vocalist Dr. Kumud Diwan took the centre stage . She presented songs based on patriotism, first song was which is composed by revolutionary poet Suraj Bhan, “samar mein jo ho gaye amar” followed by another patriotic song . She was well accompanied by Mahendra Prasad on the tabla and Zakir Dholpuri on the harmonium.
Next rendering was Bhav Paksha based on the compositions full of patriotism was presented by the great Kathak guru Dr. Shobha Koser . First of all, she presented a bhav paksh presentation based on beautiful song narrating the beauty of the India, whose lyrics was “Desh mein sabse achha Hindustan “In this presentation, the beauty of India was presented through beautiful words and expressions by Dr. Koser . In the second presentation Guru Shobha Koser give a beautiful message by song watanwalo zamane ka chalan sabse nirala hai to the young generation . > In this she has appealed young generation to do patriotism for the country so that the country progresses on the path of development . Dr. Shobha Koser got a huge applause by presenting beautiful expressions through her dance in bhava mudra. She concluded her program with Jhansi Ki Rani, a very poignant and heroic performance. In which she presented a heroic anecdote of the queen of Jhansi through beautiful expressions of her dance. There was a wonderful blend of poignancy and valor in her gestures which mesmerized the audience. She was well accompanied by Mehmood Khan on tabla, Madho Prasad on vocals and Lucky Kumar on sitar . How could the program end without Bhangra, the identity of the culture of Punjab, for this, a vigorous performance of Bhangra was presented by Jugni Bhangra Academy. The audience felt a unique sense of patriotism around them. Pracheen Kala Kendra will always be a part of such unique programs.
