Prof M M Puri, Former Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh passed away today.

Professor M.M Puri, former Vice-Chancellor, Punjab University and renowned Political Scientist passed away on 10th October peacefully at his residence. He made enormous contributions to Panjab University with his illustrious credentials and excellent administrative skills. Professor Puri often used to quip that he was not merely a Puri, but a proud “HoshiarPuri”. He successfully guided a number of young scholars to achieve much more than what they thought they were capable of. The University has lost in him not only a bright academician, but a strong leader who led the University with a vision.
