Under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. Anita Kaushal, Health Society and NSS Wing of Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector-42, Chandigarh, in collaboration with Government Multi-Specialty Hospital, Sector-16, Chandigarh today organised a Blood Donation Camp in the college campus.
Principal Prof. Dr. Anita Kaushal was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Convener Health Society, Dr. Preetkamal Kaur and NSS Incharge Dr. Tajinder Kaur were managing the event with other members of the Health Society and Programme Officers. Prof. Anita Kaushal commended the efforts of the Staff members and student volunteers. She encouraged the girl students to come forward to donate blood while highlighting the benefits of blood donation such as the ability to save lives, potential health benefits and emotional rewards.
A dedicated team of doctors and nurses from Government Hospital Sector-16 were present to facilitate and successfully carry out the whole program.
40 people from within the college and outside the college donated blood during the camp. The camp proved to be a great success.
