PGIMER Chandigarh Shines at All India Winter Rose Show 2024 with Record-Breaking Wins of 58 Awards
The All India Winter RoseShow was held from December 21 to December 22, 2024, at N.D.M.C’s India-AfricaFriendship Rose Garden, located in Shanti Path, Chankyapuri, New Delhi.Organized by the Rose Society of India, this prestigious event saw theHorticulture Wing of the Engineering Department from PGIMER, Chandigarh,participate in the highly competitive Winter Rose Show.
In a remarkable display of skill and talent, the Horticulture Wing brought laurels to the institute by winning an impressive t otal of 58 awards across all categories—28 First Prizes, 13 Second Prizes, and 17 Third Prizes.
This achievement marks the highest number of prizes ever won by PGIMER in thiscompetition, showcasing the exemplary horticultural efforts of the team.
Sh Tajinder Singh, Assistant Engineer of Horticulture, along with his dedicated team, received the awards on behalf of the Director of PGIMER from Sh. Kuldeep Saddy, President of the Rose Society of India, marking a significant milestone for the institute inits horticultural pursuits.
