Former councillor of Chandigarh Municipal Corporation Shakti Prakash Devshali termed the statements made by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to 5 countries as shameful. Such statements by Bhagwant Mann while holding a constitutional and sensitive post like that of Chief Minister are indecent and unfortunate.
Devshali said that today when the whole world acknowledges the strength of Indian leadership and when the Prime Minister of India is respected in any country, every citizen of the country feels proud. The statements made by the Chief Minister of Punjab show his ignorance towards global politics.
He said that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann can stoop to any level to please his political masters. When the entire country is feeling happy after 26 countries of the world honoured Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the highest honour, Bhagwant Mann is becoming a laughing stock with his statements. Bhagwant Mann has no knowledge about these countries nor about their importance on the global stage. This is the reason why he is making such cheap statements. His statement is a sign of his political immaturity.
Devshali said that such statements of the Aam Aadmi Party leader and the Chief Minister of Punjab seem to be an attempt to tarnish the image of the country and show it down on the global level, for which he should apologise to the entire country.
