BJP has always respected the Indian Constitution and its creator Babasaheb: Devshali
Chandigarh: Bharatiya Janata Party has always respected the ‘Indian Constitution’ and its creator Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, while the Congress Party and its leaders have always violated and ridiculed the Constitution and its creator through both their words and deeds. These words were said by BJP Vice President Shakti Prakash Devshali while addressing the Samvidhan Gaurav Abhiyan.
Samvidhan Gaurav Abhiyan organized by Rani Lakshmi Bai District in Sector 26 under the chairmanship of District President Anoop Gupta was attended by Councilors Dilip Sharma and Saurabh Joshi, District Vice President Rajkishore, District Secretary Satbir Thakur, Varinder Kumar, Sunil Bagdi, Rajinder Makwana, Surabhi Thakur, Jatin Nagpal, Anoop, Somraj, Sunil Sharma and local residents of the area.
Addressing the gathering, Devshali said that the Congress made Dr. Ambedkar lose the elections in 1952 and 1954. Even the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru himself went to campaign against him. The Congress, which ruled the country for six decades after independence, honoured every member of the Gandhi family with ‘Bharat Ratna’ but never remembered the architect of the Constitution, Baba Saheb. In 1990, Dr. Ambedkar was honoured with ‘Bharat Ratna’ by the BJP-supported government itself.
Devshali said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who accused the BJP of changing the Constitution during the 2024 Lok Sabha election campaign, does not tell that his grandmother Indira Gandhi violated the Constitution and imposed President’s rule in states about 50 times and removed democratically elected governments. The last Congress Prime Minister Manmohan Singh also imposed President’s rule 8-9 times.
Not only this, Indira Gandhi, when the Allahabad High Court gave a decision against her and cancelled the elections, imposed Emergency in the country on 25 June 1975 only to save her power and put more than 1,35,000 people in jails across the country. Censorship was imposed on newspapers and the pens of those who wrote against the government and the tongues of those who spoke were forcibly silenced.
Devshali said that the Bharatiya Janata Party and our Prime Minister Narendra Modi have repeatedly said that the Constitution of the country is supreme for us and we will never let it be harmed. Apart from this, on one hand the Modi government honored Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar by developing five places related to Babasaheb (Mau, England, Nagpur, Delhi and Mumbai) as Panchtirtha, while on the other hand it has also given equal rights to the Dalits of Jammu and Kashmir by repealing Section 370 and 35-A.
