A meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Mandip Singh Brar with the representatives of Reserve Bank of India Chandigarh in regard to tackling online banking frauds and unregulated deposit schemes and ways to spread awareness amongst the people to be cautious of these fraudulent activities.
The RBI forum suggested that they must inform the public about these ongoing frauds. In regard to this, the DC directed the colleges authorities of Chandigarh to collaborate with RBI and spread awareness about the the unregulated deposits schemes and online frauds among the college staff and students. Use of different publicity platforms were encouraged acknowledging the scale of frauds.
