‘Pratibha Samman 2026’: Children’s Success is an Achievement of the Entire Society — Vikrant A Tanwar
Chandigarh:
A grand ceremony titled ‘Pratibha Samman 2026’ was organized by the Citizens’ Forum (Sectors 48, 49, 50 & 63) and Ward 35 to honor meritorious students for their academic excellence. The event was organized by Vikrant A Tanwar, State Media In-charge of Aam Aadmi Party Chandigarh and President of Citizens’ Forum Ward 35, along with Shipra Tanwar, General Secretary of the Citizens’ Forum.
Former Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia attended the event as the Chief Guest. During the ceremony, he interacted directly with students and held open discussions on education reforms, future opportunities, and the role of youth in society. He attentively listened to students’ ideas and suggestions, encouraging them to dream big and become responsible citizens.
Addressing the students, Manish Sisodia said,
“Good marks are important, but becoming a good and responsible human being is even more important.”
“The role of an RWA is not limited to roads and water issues” — Vikrant A Tanwar
While addressing the gathering, Vikrant A Tanwar shared an inspiring and emotional message, saying that the achievements of children are not just the success of one family, but a matter of pride for the entire community. He said,
“We often celebrate our small victories within the four walls of our homes. But when a child scores 85% or 90%, it is not only the achievement of a family, but the pride of the entire society. An RWA or Citizens’ Forum should not be limited only to issues like roads, water, or electricity. A true community is one that applauds the success of its children like one big family.”
He further added that while students’ names appear on their certificates, behind every achievement lies the struggle, sacrifice, and stress of their parents. He encouraged students to understand that this phase is a turning point in their lives and that along with academic excellence, becoming a responsible and compassionate human being is equally important.
Tanwar also assured residents that the Citizens’ Forum would always stand with them on issues related to education and civic welfare, with a vision to make the area one of the safest and best localities in Chandigarh.
Contribution of Jarnail Singh Remembered
During the event, Vikrant Tanwar also acknowledged the contribution of Jarnail Singh, who could not attend the ceremony due to unavoidable reasons. He stated that the education reforms and public service initiatives appreciated across the country were strengthened at the grassroots level through the dedicated efforts of both Manish Sisodia and Jarnail Singh.
