International honours for PGI Radiology Professor
Professor Mahesh Prakash, Department of Radiodiagnosis and Imaging, PGIMER, Chandigarh has been awarded Honorary Membership of the Vietnamese Society of Skeletal Radiology (VSSR) during Annual meeting of the Society at Danang, Vietnam which was held on 23-24th August for his pioneering and tireless contribution to Vietnamese Musculoskeletal Radiology community in advancing the education, research and science of this field. He is the current Chairman of Education committee of Asian Musculoskeletal Society and committee member of European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology & International Skeletal Society. He has been extensively involved in teaching & training of Musculoskeletal Radiology to medical professionals in various countries across the globe particularly underdeveloped Asian countries. Prof M.S. Sandhu, Head of the department told that Dr. Mahesh Prakash has been the founder and has served the Indian MSK society as Honorary Secretary and President and responsible for the growth of MSK radiology in India. He has received many national and international awards in the past. Musculoskeletal radiology deals in diagnosis of musculoskeletal disorders like orthopaedic trauma, sports injuries, arthritis, tumours and other related diseases.
