Chandigarh.23 November,2020:The Chandigarh Administration has decided to re-locate the residents of Pre-fab shelters in Sector- 52& 56 to EWS flats at Maloya-I. The project is being implemented under the Affordable Rental Housing Complexes (ARHCs) Scheme. Updated lists of the occupants of Pre-Fab Shelters, after considering the objections, has been uploaded on the official website of the Chandigarh Housing Board i.e. www.chbonline.in. A camp was organized to receive applications for allotment of flat at Maloya-I under ARHC scheme.
2.The first computerized draw was held on 10.11.2020 for allotment of 352 flats and physical possession of these flats have been handed over during the last week. Demolition of about 275 Pre-Fab Shelters at Sector-56 has already been completed and demolition of about 350 Pre-Fab Shelters at Sector-52 is underway and to be completed within this week.
3. The second draw for allotments to the eligible applicants will be made through computerized draws for 448 flats will be held on Wednesday 25.11.2020 at 11.00 am. List of the occupants who will be included in the draw has been uploaded on the website of the CHB. The 380 occupants relates to Pre-Fab Shelters at Sector-52 while remaining 68 occupants relates to Sector-56. There are 15 applicants who have submitted copy of the disability certificates and they will be considered for allotment of flat at ground floor.
4. The draw will be held in utmost fair & transparent manner and it will be supervised by the senior officers from other organizations. To follow the COVID related protocol, the following special arrangements have been made:

(B)Link of the channel will also be available on the website of the CHB. (C)Anyone can join by clicking the link.
(D)The draw will be streamed live at the site of Pre-Fab Shelters through a display van.
Immediately after the draw, result will be uploaded on the website of the CHB. It will also be displayed at the Pre-Fab shelters site on the same day.
5. Physical possession of the flats at Maloya-I will be handed over in staggered manner to avoid rush and to ensure compliance of the social distancing norms. Its schedule will be displayed at the Pre-Fab Shelters site and also at the website. The water and electricity connections at Maloya-I will be released on the day of physical possession itself. After taking over physical possession of the flat at Maloya-I, the shifting to be completed within 03 days. All the Pre-Fab Shelters will be demolished simultaneously.
6. As already clarified vide Public Notice dated 27.10.2020, any application under the Affordable Rental Housing Complexes (ARHCs) Scheme will not be a bar or prejudice to their claim, if any, under the Chandigarh Small Flats Scheme-2006. In case of any allotment under the Chandigarh Small Flats Scheme-2006, the present rental agreement will be accordingly modified.
7. As per tentative schedule, the subsequent draws will be held on 02.12.2020 and on 10.12.2020.
