200 students participated in Technovation-2025
The department of Computer Science and Applications, DAV College, Chandigarh organized inter departmental annual technical competitive event: Technovation, 2025. The technical event featured carefully chosen intriguing competitions to enable students to build confidence, usher creativity, develop analytical – critical thinking skills that is otherwise not possible in traditional classroom teaching and learning.
The main attraction for the young technocrats was the Code-Debugging event where the participants showcased their ability to evaluate the erroneous source code and highlight the error in the same. The participants in the web application development event unleashed their creativity, imagination and web designing skills by developing online applications which were responsive, scalable, integrated with robust security infrastructure and rich user interface. Puzzle-Solving competition proved to be fun oriented competing experience where the participants solved the puzzles based on latest innovations in the field of Information and Technology. The technical quiz proved to be an unforgettable experience for the participants and the audience. The quiz master – Miss Arpana Grover from InfoMaths, Chandigarh captivated the audience with her lively and engaging style.
Winners of various competitions were felicitated with mementos and certificates. Speaking on the occasion, Convener of the function Dr. Harmunish Taneja, described the current times as challenging and expressed confidence that with such events the students will learn something new and enhance their skills in the field of web development, upcoming technical areas and logical ability. He called upon the students to develop technical and logical bent of mind. Dr. Mandeep K. Gill, Head of Computer Applications Department appreciated the efforts of the faculty who worked tirelessly to make this event a grand success. She highlighted that regular knowledge and technical skills enhancement must be part of every student’s learning process. The event witnessed euphoric response from the students. Around 200 students participated in various competitions with utmost enthusiasm and surprised the judges and spectators with their technical knowledge and prowess.
