200 patients screened in ortho camp at Karnal
Karnal, April 28: As many as 200 patients were screened in a free ortho camp organised by Park Hospital, Karnal on Monday.
The patients were offered free ortho and physiotherapy consultations by a team including Dr Bhanu Pratap Singh, director orthopedics and robotic joint replacement surgery, Dr Anil Kapoor Vashisth, and Dr Amandeep Garg, both consultant ortho. There was also a 50 % discount on x-ray and other investigations.
Speaking during the occasion Dr Bhanu Pratap said,”Park Hospital is offering free robotic technology to the patients till May end. This initiative aims to make advanced healthcare accessible to every section of society.”
Dr Bhannu further said that nowadays we are doing robotic knee replacement surgery in 12-15 minutes which is powered by 3D augmented reality and artificial intelligence. There is no requirement of blood transfusion, no sutures, no drains. The surgery is being performed from the small cuts of 3.5 to 4 inches and patients can walk 4 hours after the surgery, he informed.
