*VISIT OF SH. NITIN AGRAWAL, IPS, DG BSF TO HEADQUARTERS
SPECIAL DG BSF WESTERN COMMAND CHANDIGARH*
On 22nd Jan 2024 Sh Nitin Agrawal, IPS, DG BSF visited HQ Spl DG BSF Western Command, Chandigarh where he was welcomed by Sh Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, IPS, Spl DG BSF (WC), Sh. Satish Budakoti, IG (Ops) and other senior officers.
After a formal interaction with Officers, an operational briefing was carried out where DG was apprised about the prevailing security scenario on the Western borders with Pakistan from the line of control in Kashmir to the international borders in the state of Gujarat.
During the course of review of security scenario, DG BSF was also apprised about launching of “Winter Ops Alert Exercise” from 19th Jan to 31st Jan 2024 to minimize the incidents of infiltration, smuggling of drugs/weapons across the border.
The DG BSF appreciated the efforts of field formations under Western Command for effective domination of border and seizure of 126 numbers of drones and 595 kgs of Heroin including large number of arms and ammunition during past one year.
In the end DG BSF conveyed his best wishes to all the Seema Praharis in accomplishing their allotted task.
