Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue to be Grand Celebration of Yuva Shakti; 3,000 Talented Young Minds to Gather at Bharat Mandapam
Sports Authority of India, Northern Regional Centre, Sonepat, in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) and National Service Scheme (NSS) held a press conference to highlight the upcoming Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue National Youth Festival 2025 which is a transformative reimagining of the National Youth Festival, aligning with the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to engage and empower India’s youth in shaping a Viksit Bharat.
Dialogue will be held during the National Youth Festival on January 11 and 12 next year. During the 2-day event, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi shall be interacting with 3000 youth leaders at the Bharat Mandapam in the national capital. The vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India is to develop at least 1 lakh youth leaders in the country.
Dr. Shivam Sharma, Regional Director, Sports Authority of India, Northern Regional Centre, Sonepat in his opening remarks, emphasized the event’s significance saying that it’s a movement to empower India’s youth as active contributors to the nation’s development journey as it provided a transformative platform for young minds to showcase their ideas, engage with thought leaders, and collaborate on fulfilling the vision of a developed India.
Member of the two time Olympic bronze medallist Indian hockey team, Sh. Sumit who acted as the youth icon for this event, urged the youth to actively participate in this historic initiative, emphasizing the transformative role of India’s youth in building a Viksit Bharat.
The speaker, Sh. Rajendra Kumar Sharma from the NYK emphasised the objectives of the programme towards identifying young talent and connecting them with the top decision makers to become drivers of Viksit Bharat.
Dr. Subhash Sisodia, District Nodal Officer, National Service Scheme outlined the major features of the festival, its reimagined form and how it will be implemented at the grassroot level.
Key Highlights of the Dialogue:
1. Viksit Bharat Challenge
– A four-stage competition encouraging youth participation, culminating in a National Championship at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on January 11-12, 2025.
– Provides young Indians an opportunity to present their ideas directly to the Prime Minister.
2. Viksit Bharat Exhibition
-State Exhibitions –
Showcasing youth-centric projects in education, skill development, and entrepreneurship.
– Ministry Exhibitions: Highlighting flagship programs promoting leadership, innovation, and social impact.
3. Plenary Sessions:
– Interactive workshops and dialogues with prominent national and global icons, offering inspiration and insights to the youth.
4. Cultural Program
– Celebrates India’s heritage under the theme “Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi” with performances and displays showcasing the nation’s vibrant traditions.
Introducing the Viksit Bharat Challenge: A Four-Stage Competition
The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, a reimagining of the National Youth Festival, features the Viksit Bharat Challenge, a four-stage competition to inspire youth engagement in shaping India’s future. The challenge progresses as follows:
1. Round 1: Viksit Bharat Quiz
An individual (aged 15-29) will participate in digital quiz hosted on the Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) platform between 25 November 2024 and 5 December 2024, testing participants’ knowledge and awareness of India’s landmark achievements.
2. Round 2: Essay/Blog Writing
Winners from the previous round will submit essays on about 10 identified themes such as ‘Tech for Viksit Bharat’, ‘Empowering Youth for Viksit Bharat’, among others, showcasing their ideas for national development. This competition will also be hosted on MY Bharat platform.
3. Round 3: Viksit Bharat Vision Pitch Deck – State-Level Presentations
Participants qualifying the Round 2 will present their ideas on their chosen themes at the state level. Through these presentations, each state will form various teams on identified themes by hosting competitions to select participants for the national level.
4. Round 4: Viksit Bharat National Championship at Bharat Mandapam
Various theme-based State-level teams will compete at the National Youth Festival on 11 – 12 January 2025, and the winning teams will present their vision and ideas for Viksit Bharat to the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi.
Hon’ble Minister Dr Mandaviya has laid the target of roping in at least 1 crore youth (aged 15-29) from all over India to take part in the Viksit Bharat Challenge, which will act as a preliminary round towards the main event at Bharat Mandapam.
The festival will convene approximately 3,000 youth through various channels, including 1500 from the digital the MY Bharat platform, 1000 from Yuva Utsav and 500 nominated by State Government who will act as mentors and facilitators in panel discussions.
