Vibracoustic Lends a Helping Hand & Donates Rs 25 Lakhs to PGIMER for Medical Care of Poor & Indigent Children

Chandigarh: March 27: Vibracoustic India Private Limited, a leading auto parts manufacturing company, strongly believes in holistic development where business goes hand in hand with societal well-being.
In sync with its vision of social empowerment, Vibracoustic India Private Limited lent a helping hand for the medical care of the poor and indigent children from socially deprived families and donated a hefty amount of Rs. 25,,000,00/- (Rupees Twenty Five Lakhs) to PGIMER today

Mr Jagminder Singh Bawa, President India Region, Vibracoustic India Private Limited handed over the cheque amounting Rs. 25,,000,00/- under their CSR activities to Prof. Jagat Ram, Director PGIMER in his office in the august presence of Prof. Surjit Singh, Head, Deptt. of Paediatrics, PGIMER, Prof. Ashok Kumar, Addl. Medical Superintendent & Official Spokesperson, Dr Akhil Gupta. Dr Ankur Gupta from Deptt. of Paediatrics and other senior functionaries of the Institute.

Expressing his gratitude and thanking Mr Bawa for the generous contribution, Prof. Jagat Ram, Director PGIMER stated, “Any donation, shows a willingness to help those who are in need. The caring support of Vibracoustics means so much and will definitely contribute to the medical needs of many deprived children. Do-gooders and Philanthropists like Mr Bawa encourage us to continue with our societal good.”

Prof. Surjit Singh, Head, Deptt. of Paediatrics, PGIMER who was also present on the occasion, shared his sentiments as he said, “With his compassionate initiative, Mr Bawa has also set a role model for others to emulate as supporting and hand-holding the destitute patients, especially children is a true service to mankind.”

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Jagminder Singh Bawa, an affluent but earthy businessman, who believes in supporting need-specific, charitable activities, shared “ The company strongly believes in contributing to the society through its CSR activities primarily to fill gaps in the medical and educational infrastructure of the country, thereby supporting the social, educational and medical well-being of fellow citizens. This donation of Rs. 25 Lakhs is a humble step in that direction only.

The donations are accepted either through Cheque (in favour of Director PGIMER) or Demand Draft at the poor patient cell near the Main Reception, Nehru Hospital under section 80G of the income tax act. Institute has also started the facility of online donations on the Institute website- pgimer.edu.in. After making a donation directly to the PGIs Poor Patient Fund account, the person can download a receipt too. The donors need not physically come to the poor patient cell of PGIMER to donate.

PGIMER appeals to the public to generously donate to this fund so that the poor patients are provided with super speciality health care.
