Third Edition of Gully Cricket Tournament from April 20
Chandigarh, The Third Edition of Gully Cricket Tournament will commence from April 20. The three week long tournament is being organised by UT Cricket Association in association with Chandigarh Police. The Grand finale of the tournament will be held on May 11.
Sanjay Tandon, President, UT Cricket Association and Kanwardeep Kaur, (IPS), SSP, Chandigarh Police chaired a meeting with various stakeholders to detail the event at Police Headquarter, Sector 9, Chandigarh on Friday. The nodal officers of Municipal Corporation, UT Sports, Education, Social Welfare Department along with the functionaries of UTCA- Devinder Sharma (Secretary), Alok Krishan (Treasurer), Ravinder Singh (Joint Secretary) and others discussed the key strategies.
According to Sanjay Tandon, “Tournament is aimed to take the tournament to new heights, aiming for a Guinness World Record for the highest number of teams participating in a T10 league”. This year more league matches will be played at various venues across the city. Apart from league matches, exhibition matches will also be played.
