The Department of Statistics organized a Seminar on AWARENESS ABOUT E-WASTE RECYCLING on November 17 th, 2022 at 3:00 pm in the Seminar Hall of the Department of Statistics, Panjab University, Chandigarh, wherein Dr. Payal Nandurkar from WE The Recycling Company addressed the audience comprising of students, faculty members along with Chairpersons of various departments: Dr. Amrita Shergill (Economics), Dr. Rohini Sharma (DCSA), Dr. Upneet Kaur Mangat (Human Rights and Duties), Mrs Suman Bala, (Mathematics) to name a few, about how e waste management has become the need of an hour. Additionally, the Chairperson Department of Statistics, Dr. Anju Goyal clearly reflected upon the steps taken by University to recycle E waste and also advised the attendees from different departments to come forth on the path of E- Recycling. Followed by this, the e waste present itself in the department was being handed over to initiate the process formally. This marked the end to the insightful event.
