In compliance with the recommendation of the Central Vigilance Commission with the directions of W/CVO Chandigarh and Secretary Vigilance Chandigarh. The Chandigarh Vigilance Department organized the Vigilance Awareness Week on the theme of “Say no to Corruption Commit to the Nation”.
Today i.e 31.10.2023 at 11.00 AM the Vigilance Department organized awareness workshop at Oil Bhawan Sector-19 and Municipal Corporation Sector-17, Chandigarh, at 03.00 PM in which 60/70 and 80/90 employees attended 2nd Day of the Vigilance awareness week respectively. The same were got conducted by OSD Vigilance Sh A Venkatesh,SHO Ranjodh Singh,DA Sh Rajinder Singh and Other Vigilance officials along senior functionaries of the above departments.They initiated the program with integrity pledge., Awareness about PIDPI Mechanism if complaining was done.was Approximately 160 officials of Oil Bhawan Sector-19 and Municipal Corporation Chandigarh Sector-17 attended the program and took the integrity pledge, which is as under:-
I believe that corruption has been one of the major obstacles to economic, political and social progress of our country. I believe that all stakeholders such as Government, citizens and private sector need to work together to eradicate corruption. I realize that every citizen should be vigilant and commit to highest standards of honesty and integrity at all times and support the fight against corruption. I, therefore pledge:-
• To follow probity and rule of law in all walks of life.
• To neither take nor offer bribe.
• To perform all tasks in an honest and transparent manner.
• To act in Public interest.
• To lead by example exhibiting integrity in personal behavior.
• To report any incident of corruption to the appropriate agency.
