The Chandigarh BJP Economic Cell wholeheartedly welcomed the first budget of the Modi 3.0 government, hailing it as a “development-oriented” masterpiece that caters to all sections of society.

In this regard, a meeting was held at the party office Kamalam in Sector 33 and was attended by prominent BJP leaders and chartered accountants.

Jatinder Pal Malhotra, Chandigarh BJP President, praised the budget, saying, “This is a visionary budget that prioritizes infrastructure development, skill enhancement for youngsters, and job creation. It’s an expenditure-based budget that will propel India towards a prosperous future.”

Malhotra highlighted the budget’s focus on infrastructure development, stating, “This will be the main driver of growth and development in India. The budget’s emphasis on skill enhancement will ensure that our youth are equipped with the skills needed to thrive in the modern economy.”

Local BJP leaders also applauded the budget’s benefits for the salaried class, including a 50% increase in standard deduction and revised tax slabs in the new tax regime. “This will significantly reduce tax payments for the general public and increase disposable income,” said one leader.

The government’s initiatives to reduce litigation were also praised, with leaders noting that this would bring immense relief to common assesses.
