Thalassaemic Children Welfare Association organized its 176th Blood Donation Camp at PGI, Chandigarh under the Guidance of Dr. Neelam Marwaha, Head of Deptt. Transfusion Medicines. The camp was inaugurated by
Sh. Vipul Dua and Sh. Ashok Dua, Director-Peddler, Purple Restaurant Pvt. Ltd. Chandigarh. The Chief Guest honoured the blood donors by giving mementoes. He has also praise the Association for serving the humanity. Sh. Rajinder Kalra, General Secretary also thanked the Chief Guest and Blood Donors for donating the blood. He has also requested to voluntarily blood donors and social organizations to come forward for this noble cause and to donate the blood in our next coming 177th Blood Donation Camp i.e. on 28th July 2018 (Saturday) at Zakir Hall, Research Block-A, PGIMER Chandigarh.
In this Blood Donation Camp 212 units of blood were collected for needy patients. This is 7th Blood Donation Camp of this summer season, organized by the Association. So far 1831 units of blood have been collected during these camps for the Blood Bank of PGI and GMCH-32.
