Telemedicine PGIMER shines at Telemedicon 2023 held at Park Regis, Goa
The Departmentof Telemedicine at PGIMER, Chandigarh participated in “Telemedicon 2023”{19thInternational Conference of Telemedicine Society of India (TSI) and 27thInternational Society for Telemedicine and eHealth (ISfeH) Conference} on thetheme “Emerging Technologies Connecting Indian Healthcare System” heldat Park Regis, Goa from 3rd November 2023 to 5th November2023. The team members presented papers covering various topics such as Tele-Pathology,Tele-Ophthalmology, National KnowledgeNetwork, LearningManagement Information System,Tele-Consultation Services through Ayushman Bharat in Haryana and lastly a Comparisonbetween the two Models used by the states of Punjab (Store and Forward Model) andHaryana (Hub and Spoke Model)for providing Tele-Consultations. The teamwas led by Prof. Biman Saikia, Head, Department of Telemedicine, PGIMER,Chandigarh. Out of the various awards the team members achieved, Best Podium/OralPresentationAward was bagged by Prof. Uma Nahar Saikia on her paperdiscussing Tele-Pathology: The Way Forward, Best Poster Presentation wasawarded to Dr. Anil Chauhan and Ms. Maanvi Saikiafor their posterdiscussing the Feasibility and Development of LMIS Modules for UG Students, andthe 1stPrize in Quiz and Hopper of the Day award was given to Dr.Amit Agarwal, Dr. Richa Gupta, Mr. Pankaj Pant and Mr. Munish Kumar alsopresented their respective papers in the conference, and Dr. Amit Agarwal waselected as an Executive Member in the Telemedicine Society of India.
