Sh.Banwarilal Purohit, Administrator, Chandigarh flagged off the Run for Unity from Sukhna Lake today in the presence of Sh. Dharampal, Adviser to the Administrator and other senior officers of Chandigarh Administration.
The 4 km run was organised by Sports department, Chandigarh wherein 250 school students participated with full zeal and enthusiasm. This event was organised to mark the celebrations of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav as India completes 75 years of its glorious independence.
The Adviser to the Administrator, Sh. Dharam Pal also participated in the run for unity with other officers of Chandigarh Administration. A cycle for unity will commence from Rose garden on 13th August under the same program.
This nationwide campaign of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav has not only brought the countrymen together, but has gave us a motive to showcase the love for our country. The series of events have been running at parallels in the country displaying the patriotic spirit of Indians.
