Seminar on POCSO Act and Juvenile Justice Act.

St Anne’s Convent School organized a seminar on POCSO (Protection of Children
Against Sexual Offences) Act and Justice Juvenile Act. The resource person was
Sh. Brijendra Singh Bajwa, advocate Punjab and Haryana High court. He apprised
about the rise in sexual offences against the children and emphasized that
children must know about the acts and their implementation.
Students from classes VII-XII were among the audience and they learned about
the important details of both the acts. The salient features of the act, system of
helping the victims, legal aid provided and punishing the offenders were
discussed.
School principal Sr. Sijji Isaac thanked the eminent resource person for the
informative session and honored him with a memento and green token of
appreciation.
