Ritika Singh appointed as Chairwoman, Indian Women Network Chandigarh Tricity Chapter

 

14 October 2024, Chandigarh: Empowering women leads to the empowerment of society at large. In line with this vision, the Annual Session for the Indian Women Network (IWN) Tricity Chapter for the year 2023-2024 was held today at the CII Headquarters in Chandigarh.

 

During the session, Mr Anurag Gupta, Chairman, CII Chandigarh and Managing Director, Usha Yarns Ltd, emphasized, “The Indian Women Network (IWN) is a vital part of CII’s mission to support women professionals. Launched to create the largest network for career women in India, IWN provides a structured platform for professional women to connect, share experiences, and tackle workplace challenges together. It plays a key role in empowering women to grow their skills and reach new heights in their careers.”

 

Dr Pallavi Misra, Chairperson, CII IWN Northern Region and Director – Finance, NIMS University, added, “Across Chandigarh and beyond, women are challenging traditional norms and demonstrating that there are no limits to what we can achieve. Through CII IWN, we are committed to providing platforms that help women push beyond societal and professional boundaries.”

 

Ms Nandini Chaudhry, Vice Chair, CII IWN Northern Region and Consultant, Fore Servel Spectech LLP, remarked, “Empowerment is not just about personal success—it is about building a culture where women support each other in achieving their goals. Together, we can create a strong ecosystem where women lift one another, offering guidance, mentorship, and collaboration at every step.”

Description automatically generatedCoinciding with the session, Ms Ritika Singh, CEO and Founder, Kontent Factory, was elected as Chairwoman of IWN Chandigarh Tricity Chapter for 2024-25. Ms Singh succeeds Dr Ruby Ahuja, who was lauded for her exceptional leadership during her tenure. “It was a privilege heading the Tricity Chapter for the year 2023-24, and I am thrilled to see the necessary changes come to fruition,” she remarked.

 

In her opening remarks as Chairwoman, Ms Ritika Singh announced the theme for the year 2024-25: Redefining Boundaries. She shared her vision: “The role of women in today’s world is evolving, and it’s time we redefine what those boundaries are. As Chairwoman of the IWN Tricity Chapter, my goal is to foster an inclusive environment where women feel empowered to push the limits of their potential, break stereotypes, and achieve their dreams. Through this platform, we will focus on mentorship, skill development, and creating pathways for women to succeed across industries. Together, we will build a support system that encourages women to step beyond conventional barriers, ensuring their voices and contributions are celebrated.”

 

Ms Singh is a well-known entrepreneur, Content Writer, Blogger, Editor, Ghost Writer, and Digital and Brand Strategist. She is the Founder and CEO of Kontent Factory, the former General Secretary of TiE Chandigarh, and hosts the entrepreneurship-focused radio show The Startup Story on Capital FM. She also serves as the National Advisor to the National Minorities Commission of India, advocating for the betterment of minorities across the nation.
