Red FM acknowledges the commendable contribution of Doctors on National Doctor’s Day
Chandigarh, July 1, 2021: Red Fm along with HDFC Bank felicitated the PGI Director Prof. Jagat Ram on the occasion of National Doctors Day by presenting a sapling under their campaign “Air Saviours” here at PGIMER Chandigarh.
PGIMER Director, Prof. Jagat Ram, while speaking on the occasion said, “Conserving the environment is not just an issue anymore. It is a survival truth. Governments, institutions, organisations and individuals need to join hands and build synergies to protect what is left of our planet so that the future is not wiped out before it’s time for a curtain call.”
The director further stated, “PGIMER is an organization with a social conscience. We are committed to providing a clean and healthy environment to our patients.”
Sharing his thoughts on the Covid situation, the Director added, “Though the situation seems in control as of now but there is absolutely no room for complacency as far as the precautions are concerned like social distancing, wearing masks, washing hands etc. COVID appropriate behaviour along with vaccination is the only hope to contain transmission of the virus and prevent the third wave. Let’s follow these diligently and together we can beat it.”
