Chandigarh, August 31: In the memory of the former Chief Minister of Punjab S. Beant Singh and police officials who sacrificed their lives to restore peace and harmony in the state, Punjab Police today organized blood donation camp at G.O. mess of 13 and 82 battalions of P.A.P, Chandigarh with the support of PGI team of doctors. This camp was inaugurated by ADGP welfare, Sanjeev Kalra and Commandant 82 Battalion PAP Chandigarh Harcharan Singh Bhullar.
Disclosing this here today official spokesperson of the Punjab Police said more than 80 officers/police personnel took part in this camp and donated their blood to serve the humanity. “Blood donation is a noblest deed and patient’s life can be saved by donating blood”, said ADGP Welfare Sanjeev Kalra.
Among others present during the camp including former Union Minister, Pawan Kumar Bansal, IGP Security S.K.Singh, Surinder Kaur, Rakka Ghira, Kamal Singh, GurIqbal Singh (all PPS officers) and police personnel of 13 and 82 Battalions.
