PUNJAB GOVERNOR AND ADMINISTRATOR CHANDIGARH CONDOLES THE DEMISE OF FORMER GOVERNOR GEN. S.F. RODRIGUES
CHANDIGARH, MARCH 4: The Punjab Governor and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, Shri Banwarilal Purohit has expressed his grief over the demise of former Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, General (Retd.) S.F. Rodrigues.
In his condolence message, Shri Purohit said that General Rodrigues was a great strategist who served as the Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army as well as served on the National Advisory Board.
During his tenure as Governor Punjab, General Rodrigues was very popular and rendered a great service to the people of the State. His demise is an irreparable loss to the people of the Nation, said Purohit.
Shri Purohit conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give strength to his family to overcome the unfathomable loss.
