Chandigarh, August 31, 2018 : To mark World Photography Day, a three day long Photo Exhibition was today inaugurated by Captain Abhimanyu, Finance Minister and OP Dhankar, Agriculture Minister, Govt of Haryana today at Punjab Kala Bhawan, Sector 16, Chandigarh.
The exhibition was earlier proposed for August 17 but due to the demise of former Prime Minister Sh Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the exhibition was further postponed. Ministers applauded the efforts of photojournalists for this showcase while OP Dhankar extended the help of Rs two lacs from association’s future ventures. The exhibition houses a total of 136 frames of 66 photojournalist which represents the best work of photojournalists of region. “We have received an overwhelming response across Canada, US, Australia and Gulf countries from our Chandigarh based photojournalists so that locals can have a feel of overseas culture.” said Akhilesh Kumar, President, PJWA.
