NSS wing of the Post Graduate Government College, Sector-46, Chandigarh, celebrated the Meri maati, Mera Desh Campaign with great fervor in the college campus. A series of events including a Poster Making competition and Patriotic Song Competition were organized on the theme “Maati ko naman, Veeron ka Vandan” . Students of different streams participated enthusiastically in both the competitions. Principal of the college, Dr. Abha Sudarshan encouraged and motivated the students to become a shining example of an ideal citizen by embracing our rich heritage, promoting unity and solidarity, fulfilling civic duties, and showing respect to the valiant soldiers of the nation. Dr. Abha Sudarshan, applauded the efforts put in by the NSS volunteers.
Nearly 30 entries were received in the poster making competition. Students enthralled the audience with their melodious singing drenched in nationalistic vibes. Dean, Dr. Rajesh Kumar and Vice Principal of the college, Dr. Baljit Singh also graced the occasion The event was organised by the NSS program officers Dr. Sidharath Kumar, Ms. Pooja Gupta, Dr. Amanpreet Kaur and Dr. Arvinder Singh.
