Met S. Manpreet Singh Badal, Hon’ble Minister of Finance, Punjab, today, i.e. 25.11.2021 at Bathinda, and apprised him of the undue delay in the adoption of UGC pay scales as per the 7th Pay Commission.

We are happy to share with all of you that a delegation comprising of Prof. Ronki Ram, Prof. Navdeep Goyal, Prof. Keshav Malhotra, Dr. Mritunjay Kumar, President PUTA and Prof. AS Naura, Secretary PUTA, met S. Manpreet Singh Badal, Hon’ble Minister of Finance, Punjab, today, i.e. 25.11.2021 at Bathinda, and apprised him of the undue delay in the adoption of UGC pay scales as per the 7th Pay Commission. After a detailed discussion on the matter, Hon’ble Minister assured the delegation that revised UGC scales as per 7th Pay Commission would be adopted very soon. He also assured that he would soon have a meeting with the concerned officials on coming Tuesday to complete the process for the notification of the adoption of the pay scales.
