Chandigarh, August 4: Davesh Moudgil, Mayor of Chandigarh today inaugurated open air gym and football ground in Sector 47 in presence officers of MCC and other prominent persons of the area, Ward Committee and welfare association.
The Mayor also planted saplings of Aamla tree in the green park and distributed approximately 250 aromatic and medicinal plants to the local residents for planting the same in their neighbourhood parks. He requested the residents to use open air gym and stay healthy. The Mayor requested the area residents to cooperate with the MCC in their tree plantation drive and develop nature to adopt some tree to water it daily and for its upkeep also.
The total cost of open air gym at sector 47 comes around Rs. 2.55 lacs including provision of latest equipments i.e. Push Chair, Sub Board Functions, Space Walker, Seated Pedal Trainer, Wab Board, Elliptical Cross Trainer, Parallel Bars, Taiji Wheel, Riding Trainer and Stepper.
