Kaptan Singh Solanki flagging off the trucks carrying relief material

Chandigarh, August 21 : Haryana Governor, Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki flagged off the trucks carrying relief material worth over Rs. One crore for the flood victims of Kerala from here today.
While giving details an official spokesperson said that the relief material being sent for the relief and rehabilitation of  flood victims of Kerala is donated by the Indian Red Cross Society, Haryana Branch. The material includes blankets, bed sheets, clothes, washing powder, sugar, toothpaste etc.   Along with this one ambulance, two officers of the Red Cross and five volunteers have also gone to help the flood victims in Kerala.
He said that the Governor appreciated the efforts done by District  Red Cross Society Kurukshetra, Panchkula, Yamunanagar, Faridabad and Panipat for collecting the relief material. He said that the people of Haryana and Haryana  Red Cross Society always remain ready to help the victims of any calamity in any area of the country.
The Governor expressed his deep grief over the loss of life and property due to floods in Kerala and wished that the people who have suffered from this disaster soon return to their homes and lead a normal life.
