Immediate solution to the problems related to vaccination for Indian students for studying abroad: ABVP
ABVP submitted a memorandum to the Union Health and Family Welfare Minister

ABVP submitted a memorandum to the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare regarding admission to foreign universities of Indian students who have been vaccinated against and students below 18 years of age who do not fall within the vaccination age limit and Also requested the government to immediately resolve the problems of the students planning to study abroad.
ABVP, through its memorandum, drew the attention of the Hon’ble Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, to the Indian students struggling for admission in foreign universities. The ABVP, in its memorandum, said that many countries, including the United States and European countries, are treating Indian students vaccinated as ‘undesirable’ or tickless. Such behavior is expected to cause serious inconvenience and academic loss to Indian students. It is pertinent to note that in clinical trials conducted by Bharat Biotech in collaboration with ICMR and National Institute of Virology, the vaccine has been shown to be 78% effective against the virus. Top virologists around the world, including White House Chief Medical Adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci, have acknowledged that India’s Covaxin is effective against 617 types of corona virus.
In addition, many higher secondary students apply for admission to foreign universities, and students under the age of 18 who have passed the SAT to enter American or British universities are not yet covered by the vaccination policy. Due to such attitude of outside universities, there is a danger of their academic loss.

ABVP Haryana State Minister Sumit Jaglan said that, “Considering the uncertainty and gravity of the situation, ABVP today requested the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare to look into the problems faced by the students aspiring to study abroad and Solve them immediately. We have also requested the Hon’ble Health Minister to issue a statement in this regard at the earliest, so that the concerns of the students and their families can be addressed. We have also requested the government to try to end the standoff with the WHO and other international organizations.”
