Haryana’s AHTU reunited four missing kids including a woman with their families in Sept
Chandigarh, Sept 23 – Haryana Police’s Anti Human Traffic Unit (AHTU) has reunited three missing children and a woman with their families in the month of September, this year. These missing kids and the woman hail from the states of Rajasthan, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh.
While giving this information today, a spokesman of Haryana Police said that the AHTU team got information about the missing children and woman who were living in shelter homes and juvenile homes of Jhajjar, Panchkula and Karnal. Working on the counselling and other evidence with the help of Rajasthan, West Bengal and UP Police, all three missing children and a woman were handed over to their families after completing the required formalities.
Of these, two real sisters aged 18 years and 16 years, who went missing for the last 8 years and hails from district Alipurduar in West Bengal, were reunited on September 6, 2020.
One girl, who went missing for the last 10 years from district Jhalawar, Rajasthan, reunited with parents on September 22. Being merely 6 years old at the time of missing, she was clueless about her whereabouts.
A woman, aged about 30 years, who went missing from Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh was reunited on September 17, 2020.
Meanwhile, Director General of Police, Crime, Mohd Akil praised the efforts being made by the AHTU team in reuniting the missing children with their family members.
